POWER-Bi - HR DASHBOARD PROJECT
This HR Analytics dashboard provides a clear view of workforce attrition and its key drivers. It analyzes a workforce of 1.47K employees, with 313 exits and an overall attrition rate of 21%.
Attrition is examined across departments, gender, education level, age group, tenure, and salary band.
Key insights reveal higher attrition among mid-salary employees, a strong concentration in the 30–49 age group, and notable exits even among long-tenured staff.
Built using Power BI, DAX, and data modeling techniques, the dashboard supports data-driven decision-making, helping leadership improve workforce planning, retention strategies, and targeted HR interventions.
EXCEL VS. POWER-BI HR DASHBOARD OF ABC GLOBAL PLC
Same dataset. Two powerful tools. Two different experiences. Which one wins for you—Excel or Power BI?
I recently worked on an exciting project where I used the same HR dataset to build similar dashboards in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI, replicating in Power BI what I had already created in Excel. The raw dataset was sourced from a teaching video by Segun Akiode, and it provided a great opportunity to compare both tools side by side.
While Excel remains incredibly powerful for quick analysis, flexibility, ad-hoc reporting, and familiar spreadsheet functions, Power BI stands out with deeper insights through interactive dashboards, advanced visualizations, drill-down capabilities, and better handling of large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
This project reinforced an important lesson: the best tool often depends on the problem you’re solving.
n8n- ELEVATE-EDGE WORKFLOW & AI AUTOMATION DEMO VIDEO
In this video above, I demonstrate how to build an Employee Onboarding Automation workflow using n8n. The system automatically processes new hire form submissions, creates a Google Drive employee folder, sends a personalized welcome email, shares a Google Classroom orientation link, and notifies the IT team via Slack. This automation eliminates manual HR tasks, ensures consistent onboarding, and improves the new hire experience from day one using n8n and Google Workspace integrations.
POWER-BI - JIMTEE CONCEPT LEARNING & DEV. ANALYTICS DEMO VIDEO
In this video above, I demonstrate how I built a Learning Analytics Dashboard in Power BI using a real employee training dataset. The dashboard tracks key metrics such as completed training hours, course completion rates, department performance, and skill gaps across different roles. It enables HR and L&D teams to monitor training progress, identify development needs, and make data-driven decisions. This project showcases how Power BI can transform raw learning data into actionable insights through interactive dashboards and visual storytelling.
HRIS IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT
Business Challenge:
Employee information was fragmented across paper files, WhatsApp messages, and multiple spreadsheets, making it difficult to access accurate and up-to-date records. Core HR processes such as leave requests, staff updates, and document management were handled manually, resulting in delays, errors, and inconsistent data. Management also lacked real-time visibility into headcount, leave utilization, and workforce structure, limiting effective planning and decision-making.
Project Impact:
By implementing Zoho People, all employee records were centralized into a single, reliable system of record. Automated leave management and employee update workflows reduced manual effort and improved operational efficiency. Leadership gained access to accurate, real-time HR reports, enabling better workforce planning and data-driven decisions.
Management Recommendation:
Continue expanding HR automation and analytics within the HRIS to improve scalability, compliance, and strategic workforce insights.
SIMPLE HR REPORT WORKFLOW AUTOMATION
This project demonstrates an HR Weekly Report automation built with n8n to seamlessly connect Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Gmail. Employee data is captured via a Google Form and stored centrally in Google Sheets. A scheduled trigger in n8n runs weekly to retrieve relevant records, while a JavaScript node cleans, structures, and summarizes the data. The processed output is appended to a reporting sheet and automatically emailed to HR stakeholders through Gmail. This automation eliminates manual reporting, improves data accuracy, and ensures timely insights.
Management Recommendation:
Adopt similar workflow automations across HR operations to reduce repetitive tasks, improve reporting consistency, and enable faster, data-driven decision-making.
GOLDEN CONCEPT ABSENTEEISM DASHBOARD
I developed an HR Absenteeism Analytics Dashboard in Power BI to deliver clear, actionable insights into employee absence patterns and support data-driven decision-making.
The analysis reveals that although overall absence levels remain relatively low, sick leave represents the highest share of absence days. Male employees recorded more absences than female employees, while absenteeism is concentrated within certain managerial teams, indicating possible leadership or team-related influences. Employees with poor attendance status contribute disproportionately to total absence days, with clear variation across departments and job roles.
The dashboard leverages cleaned and modeled data with DAX measures to uncover these trends.
Recommendation:
Management should introduce proactive health and wellness programs, review leadership practices in high-absence teams, provide targeted support for poor attendance cases, and apply department-specific interventions to improve workforce reliability and performance.
